B&M Joiners Founded
B&M Joiners formed at our Canonmills, Edinburgh site by Duncan Middlemass.
1997
Danny Joins the Firm
Danny McGuinness started his apprenticeship aged 17.

Sash & Case Windows Direct, a division of B&M Joiners Group LTD, is steeped in a rich legacy of window artistry. Founded in 1970 in Canonmills, Edinburgh as part of B&M Joiners, the company quickly garnered a loyal clientele across the city. Its commitment to apprenticeship and skill transfer has been a cornerstone of its operations.
In 2007, Danny McGuinness — once an apprentice at the firm — assumed leadership of B&M Joiners, reinforcing its dedication to quality and service. With the growing demand for efficient, environmentally friendly and superior craftsmanship in sash and case windows, Sash & Case Windows Direct was established as an independent entity in 2015.
This venture represents a synthesis of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary thinking, offering solutions that are both enduring and enjoyable. This melding of old and new is central to our approach, ensuring that each project we undertake is marked by excellence and attention to detail.
