Sash & case windows that have been painted shut over many years are one of the most common issues we encounter. Our experienced craftsmen carefully break the paint seal and ease the sashes open without causing unnecessary damage. The sashes are then removed, allowing us to strip away excess paint from the sashes, parting beads, baton rods and the external facing of the case.
We then check that the sashes and weights are correctly balanced before fitting new, high-quality sash cords and re-roping the window. Once the sashes have been refitted and adjusted, they glide smoothly and operate exactly as intended.
